A loggerhead turtle gets a backpack

The film shows the fixing of a satellite tracking transmitter on the back of a loggerhead turtle, so that the animal could be followed in its travels after laying her eggs on the beach at Bourail (New Caledonia) in February 2007. The turtle headed straight for Australia, a little south of Torres Straights, where she returned to her feeding grounds. It took 63 days to make the journey, covering 2575 km.
